As Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Preston Capital, Mr. Amante is responsible for the firm-wide accounting, treasury, and financial reporting of the organization’s multiple business lines, as well as the preparation and distribution of communications to the firm’s various investment partners. Prior to joining Preston Capital, Mr. Amante was the Partnership Controller at Callahan Thompson Sherman & Caudill LLP, a multi-office west-coast law firm specializing in various aspects of business advisement and litigation; with areas of legal specialization including the automotive, healthcare, construction, non-profit, education, and hospitality industries. Mr. Amante spent nine years acting in various roles within the firm’s business administration function. In his most recent position as Partnership Controller, Mr. Amante oversaw the firm’s accounting and finance functions, managing cash flow for the organization’s primary and regional offices. In his position, Mr. Amante worked alongside principals of the firm to develop and implement a strategic plan which included new models for productivity/efficiency improvements for firm-wide accelerated revenue growth and improved profitability. Mr. Amante holds an M.B.A. in Finance and a B.S. in Business Management from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.
